Review: 'Whipping Boy'
'No One Takes Prisoners Anymore'

-  Album: 'Rocket Girl'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave'

Our Rating:
So, after 12 years away, Whipping Boy mark their return with this double A-side. ‘No One Takes Prisoners Anymore’ is a choppy chunk of late 70’s / early 80s vintage style punk with a pop sensibility.

‘Earth’s last Picture’ is altogether darker, but delivered with a real urgency that builds tension as they paint a bleak social portrait through the lyrics.

It’s good stuff, and for those that remember the band, no doubt represents a welcome comeback. For the rest of us, it’s a compelling introduction.
