If I had a copy of this as a 12" single it would be one of those split affairs where I'd only play the A-side. I found far more life and vitality in the RUNAROUND KIDS' infectious sing-along indie tunes. Drinking History is a tune that needs a few listens to get all the lyrics but the drunken skewhiff tune tells it's own story before you get the story being told lyrically. That said, my favourite tune of theirs - The Narcissist - is actually a We Are Losers song that sounds like it was made for an indie disco in the early 90's.
WE ARE LOSERS are far more lo-fi. Very slightly psychedelic stoned indie. On We Vampires they keep claiming that they let the light in, well that may be so, but it didn't light up my ears. In a reverse to side one when they cover a Runaround Kids' song (Can't Lose Lover) it is the weakest of the three tunes with some very annoying and repetitive lyrics.
