This is this first single release from THE LATE CALL, taken from the recent album ‘Pale Morning Light’. The Late Call is the name that Stockholm based Johannes Mayer works under, producing some folk tinged songs, and utilising members of his live band Ylva Ceder, Simon Stalhamre, and Patric Thorman.
‘Look At You Now’, is a guitar based dreamy song with crisp clear vocals that are up in the mix. Johannes has worked hard on this to produce something that is akin to a short story. As he stated: - "While I was writing, I watched a lot of films, which left a strong impression on me and became sources of inspiration." And there is clearly some inspiration here, which translates into some nice easy listening.

I think that this is more likely to strike a chord with European audiences rather than the British and American markets, as music of this type is eclectic and will only appeal to fans of certain genres, however, on the strength of this; the album should be worth investigating in more detail.
