I was surprised to receive this CD of acoustic rock, vaguely reminiscent of David Gray; mostly because no information was included and the blank CD was mysterious, almost enigmatic.
SION WHILEY sounds like a man with a mission, and a singularity of vision, which translates to this record. I could be wrong, but I would guess that he played all or most of the instruments and recorded it at home. He certainly knows his theme and sticks to it throughout these three indifferent but inoffensive guitar-rock tracks, and let’s face it, someone has to write the music that drunk boys sing to their girlfriends. A note to all home-recorders, though; put the track names on the sleeve as well as on the CD. I like clues to what I’m listening to.
