Review: 'MISS TERRY BLUE'
'HUSH (Single)'

-  Label: 'Playground PR (terry@theplayground.co.uk)'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: 'December 3rd 2012'

Our Rating:
London-based European all-stars MISS TERRY BLUE have come within a hair's breadth of pop perfection at the first time of asking.

As sophisticated as it is soulful, this implausibly uplifting debut single puts the pathetic content of most commercial radio playlists to shame. The group rework classic influences superbly into a box-fresh jazz-funk flavoured R&B sound that fair surges towards the cutting edge in order to snatch truth from the brink of self-deception. The end result is a compulsive, nay, irresistible hybrid of irresistible melody and simple prophetic wisdom.

A no-holds-barred celebration of insight and inner strength, this is the FM-friendly sound of the penny as it drops: as a record, it defies all of the negative connotations of 'mainstream' pop by being almost impossible to dislike.
