'Light Up The World' is the debut single from singer-songwriter and producer PAUL M.
Opening with a neat piano line, a succession of strong tom hits introduces the beat and makes a nice entrance for Paul M's soft vocal part. Creating an uplifting mood, the song builds to a chorus which hears Paul sing with true gusto "we can light up the world". His subject matter and attempts to be inspirational are to be praised, however the track does fall short.
Musically Paul M has some creative ideas, the piano and snare rolls are a strong point, but 'Light Up The World' fails to achieve it's potential. It is undoubtedly a pleasant listen yet that is as far as this single goes.
Still as a debut, Paul M can build upon this for the future. The ideas from this show enough promise for a future release.
