Dick and Mat met in a bar in Amsterdam. They shared some blues tunes; liked what they heard so decided to make an album together.
They booked a studio in Ellesmere Port and recorded ten songs in nine and half hours "with absolutely no rehearsal and, indeed, even a plan".
Farrelly, a hard-working Irish session musician, plays guitars and percussion, Walklate sings and plays harmonica. They co-wrote two songs, If It's Love and Sunday Rhumba, the others are traditional tunes.
The modest ten-track collection lasts just over half an hour but benefits from the spontaneous, no-frills arrangements.

The duo are at their best when trading licks off one another as on C Jam Blues.
Unpretentious and good clean fun - it makes you think that more albums should be made like this.
